The One With the New House Video

So sorry about the lack of posts! Things have been psycho crazy of late. I moved more stuff to Waco (where I am now), started my new job, had an audition today, and start school on Monday! Needless to say, I just haven't had time to Blog. Sorry! But, I DID record this video this morning, so I thought I would share it. Enjoy!

The One with the VTC

For those of you who know what VTC stands for, I hope you are as excited as I am!!!!

VENTRILO TRIVIA CHALLENGE!

I decided it was high time to dust off my favorite of our activities and give it another go. More details in the coming days, but the tentative date for VTCIII is September 2, 2006 at 7:00pm. Mark it on your calendars! I ordered the server today and it should be up by tomorrow. And Kurten Emily, you will be thrilled to know that I dialed down the broadcast quality so that even our favorite dial-upper can participate! This round, there are 19 slots open, so reserve yours today! Click on today's P.S. link to download the Ventrilo software (which is virus and spyware free as well as being very small). By tomorrow afternoon or Monday at the latest, I should be able to give you the server settings.

It occurs to me that some of you have absolutely no idea what I am talking about. Well, let me fill you in. First of all, Ventrilo is essentially a chat program that lets any of us with a microphone ($1.99 at Wal-Mart) talk for free online. The Ventrilo Trivia Challenge is a goofy trivia game that we have played in the past to ROARING success!

If you are interested in playing (and this is NOT limited to Inner Circle members. ALL are invited), please send me your desired username and password via e-mail or IM. You can find those addresses here.

As I said, more details to come, but PLEASE spread the word, because I want to have a GREAT turn out! Side note, just realized that I forgot to mail Mrs. Saylak her prize for winning the last VTC...gonna have to remedy that.

WOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!

The One With Only a P.P.S.

P.P.S. So I noticed today that there are only ten songs in the jukebox. There should be eleven. So I took this opportunity to add a song that has worked its way into my list of favorites. I am not normally a JoJo fan (for many reasons, not the least of which is her irritating decision to be known by a single name), but this song is awesome! There's just something about the chorus that is very catchy and I am caught. So please have a listen, if you haven't already heard it on the radio, and let me know what you think!

The One With the Sweeneys

Happy Sunday, everyone!!! I hope that you have all had a spectacular day and are now keyed up for the rest of the week! I don't really have much to say today, but I did want to introduce you to our two newest choir members who will be joining us next week. Their names are Bobby and Jonathan and I can't think of a better way to welcome them to the choir than to embarrass them on the internet!

So, beginning right now, we are going to see how many days it takes them to find out that I have this video. On a sidenote, this video IS pretty impressive, so points to them. Enjoy.

The One With the Garage

Today was a pretty boring day. My wallet disappeared, so I spent a good portion scrambling around trying to locate it. I finally found it at the movie theater where I saw "You, Me, & Dupree" last night (sans the cash that was in it), and all was right with the world yet again. I did want to share something with you though. I came home to find this....

This is my dad's brand new Suburban sitting in the driveway. Not so odd, right? Thing is, my parents have a three car garage and three cars. So why was dad's sitting outside? What was taking his parking space?

Yeah, that's the lawn mower.

Also, I went to Red Robin two days ago (LOVE RED ROBIN) by myself (sad Jay face) and had the new Santa Fe burger. Um, YEAH! So good! Anyway, nothing notable about lunch except for this. This is the coaster that my tea was sitting on.

Love it. LOVE IT!! I love clever little things like that. Who pays? Oh, you do!

P.S. Parkour. Can't get enough. This is obviously David Belle in an AWESOME commercial!

The One With All the Paper

So......would you like to know what I did last night? I know you would. Don't lie to me.

No, seriously. Stop it. STOP THE LYING!!!

I'll tell you what. Maybe I will just show you.

Why, yes. Yes, it IS 18 bags of shredded paper all over the office of one of our pastors. And no, I have NO idea who did it. Hee hee hee. We have the best college group ever!

P.S. Um...yeah. So, this is wuite possibly one of the coolest things I have EVER seen. And maybe one of the creepiest...But as an amateur puppetteer, I am extremely impressed! And for some reason, I really like the music too.

P.P.S. Rain Down - On of our camp theme songs and a personal favorite of mine. I think it's a great prayer.

Welcome Home - Again, loving Brian's new stuff.

God Will Lift... I don't know what it is about this song, but it has always gotten me. I love the layered melodies at the end.

Long Train Runnin' - Yup, I got nothing. I just think it's fun.

Spinners - Yeah, it's old, and the chorus is reaks of the 70's, but I can't get enough of the piano's chord progressions. Jam, baby, JAM!

Let It Rise - THIS IS THE ONE I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT! Chapel sang this song a long time ago and I really liked it. But, I have to admit that this version by Big Daddy Weave ROCKS! I can't get enough and I am grabbing this CD as soon as it comes out. September 26!

Move Along - Just bought this CD, it's great. And this song tells you why. So, if you haven't heard it yet, give it a listen!

Sing to the King - Jeff Berry Band, told you you were gonna see them here. Great song.
