The One After Spring Break
Current Mood: Tired
Currently Watching: The Suite Life of Zack and Cody
Well, hello everyone! So here I am safely back in the tiny little city of Waco. Spring Break was a lot of fun and I hope you each had a wonderful time doing whatever it is you were doing too! I always love taking off for Colorado. Crested Butte is SOOOOO gorgeous (as you saw below) and there are few places I would rather be. But I am glad to be back here. Mostly. It is nice to be sitting at my desk with Bear asleep beside me while the rain is POURING outside. At the same time, this all serves as a reminder that the week starts tomorrow.
This week is going to be killer! My schedule is positively booked solid all the way through Friday. At least I have had a week off to prepare for it. I have classes, tests, papers due, songs to sing, counter-points to write, data to enter, books to read, concerts to give...the list goes on! There are a few up-points though. For one thing, the Celebration Singers (the senior adult choir from First Baptist Dallas) are down here today and tomorrow for the Baptist General Convention of Texas, so I will get to see Grady AND here them sing for the first time. Plus, if he is around long enough tomorrow evening, he will get to hear me sing with the Concert Choir too! Yeah! We also have our spring concert on Thursday and it looks to be awesome! If you would like to come, PLEASE let me know, I would love to give you directions! The concert is free and is at 7:30pm. Then, after all that, I have an UBER-exciting celebrity weekend that begins on Friday!!! But I will tell you more about that as the time comes.
Now downsides to this week....I don't have a tux for either concert. Hee hee hee. I have already talked with the director and we have worked it out, but it still irritates me a tiny bit. Also, I do not have the pieces from last semester memorized like the rest of the choir....because I wasn't in it last semester! Details, details. ALSO....my house is an absolute DISASTER! I did not have time to clean ANYTHING before I left, so it is really a horrible mess. That always hampers my mood a bit. BUT, if you would like a laugh, I have one for you. The kitchen is in such a state that there is not a single clean glass anywhere.
...
...
So I took a big long drink of water from a bowl.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I KNOW! How classy am I?! What makes this worse is that I do not know when I will have time to clean, so the house may just have to stay this way until NEXT week. Hahahahaha. You SO do not want to live here right now.
And on that note, I must say goodnight. Hopefully, I will be able to write more throughtout the week, but if not....HAPPY WEEK AFTER SPRING BREAK!!!!

Is it not sad that there we are back in our small towns? Maybe you're more optimistic, but I'm sad. I hate it here. :-(
And yeah, what was the rain all about??? Holy moly, I didn't leave for Huntsville until this morning because I didn't want to drive in the torrential rain. Craziness.

Yeah...there has been a tather sudden onslaught of rain. Is that the right word? Ah, well. Who cares.
But I like it. The rain, I mean. Not the word. Although it's a nice word. If it's a word at all. Full circle. Moving along.
